I haven't had much time to write lately... have been super busy at work and the Fall semester started at the college. I am teaching two night classes again this semester and then am also taking a class.
There was a big conference in town last week and our Bureau was in charge of planning and working the big events, which kept us all pretty busy. The last night we had a Jimmy Buffet themed reception and dinner which went over really well. We even brought in a sand sculptor to design some table top sculptures.... talk about talented! And, luck me, I was nominated to be on the sand clean up committee!
Classes are going really well so far. We made it through the 1st week and none of my students cried! YAY! Always a good sign!
I am taking a class through Continuing Eduction to earn my Wedding Planning Professional certification. I am so excited! The class is awesome so far. This weekend my homework is to put together a questionnaire to have brides fill out during their initial consultation... any of you who know me know this is just about my dream job!
So, things have been a bit hectic, but all good. After a month of dog sitting Ellie and I are back home in our apartment and we are staying busy and keeping out of trouble.

P.S. I love you

So now, alone or not, you've got a walk ahead. Thing to remember is if we're all alone, then we're all together in that too.

You gotta be rich to be insane. Losing your mind is not a luxury for the middle class.

M.I.A.
So I know I have been MIA for the last few weeks, but things have just been CRAZY busy...
Ray and his sons came down for 4 days (starting 7/19). It was great to see the boys! We spent most of Sunday and Monday (I took the day off) at the beach... the boys were all about checking out the girls, it was pretty funny. We had a really nice time... played catch, tanned
(or at least I tried!), just had a good time. Ray and I both got new tattoos Monday afternoon. I got a lady bug on the top of my foot and he got a Sun thingy on his arm... it looks really good! I have been wanting a lady bug tattoo on my foot for years and finally got up the courage to do it! I had issues about getting a tattoo where people could actually see it (I know, that's kinda the point of tattoos, but I'm special haha). Tuesday I had to work, but when I got home the 4 of us went out to Red Lobster to celebrate Ray's birthday, then home for cake (which I made and decorated) and presents and watched a movie. We also had an ongoing UNO tournament for the 4 days... They left Wednesday morning aftr I left for work. I was sad to see them go, but had a great time while they were here!!
The next Sunday (7/27) I left for a conference in Las Vegas. It was a conference on Tourism Marketing and was pretty interesting. The conference was Mon - Wed and I took a redeye flight home Wednesday night, so got back to FL about 10:30 am Thursday. My co-worker Siggy and I flew out earlier Sunday morning so that we could go see the Cirque De Soliel show Zumanity Sunday night. It was AWESOME!! They did a great job of aking it sensual yet hilarious and the talent of the dancers and acrabatas was incredible!
After getting home on Thursday morning, I had to teach Thursday night and then this week we wrapped up the semester. My students took their final exam last night... most of them did pretty well... YAY! So, I have made it through 2 full semesters of teaching at the college at night.
As you can see, the last few weeks have been crazy busy, but good busy. I have a couple weeks now until the Fall semester starts and am home for a week before I head to Orlando for Governer's Conference for work.
I will post pictures of the adventures soon!!!
xoxo
